

We offer workshops for young people and adults; advanced training for educators and professionals, as well as public film screenings and discussions. Participants use an anti-racist lens to explore their own experiences, histories and contemporary realities of migration, and questions about rights and identity.
We aim to build the power of our participants in their own sense of self, and use this strength to challenge exclusionary debates, and cultivate belonging and solidarity in their communities. Our work with educators and professionals supports them to be better equipped to meet the needs of their students and clients.
We are responsive and flexible–our workshops and screenings have ranged from hour to week-long workshops. We work with you to develop a program that meets the needs of your community.
At our school, we use your work to introduce the topic of ethnic diversity and living in a multi-cultural society in English Classes. As many of my students come from multicultural backgrounds, it has proven to help spark conversations on what that means for them, and how it shapes their identities and their lives.
From Here captures these stories of struggle to find acceptance and belonging with
compassion, respect, and a sense of urgency. Christina’s talk provided a depth of knowledge and experience into both the film’s topics and her process as a filmmaker.
You could see people taking their defenses down, expressing their need to share their experience. Really enjoyed it!
I learned a lot about the interconnectedness of historical and current events. It also helped me understand how power and white supremacy have been a common thread throughout these cycles.
